What’s Next?

It is with a huge sigh of relief that I’m here to tell you today – I passed my massage licensing exam!

I’m not officially licensed just yet, I need to send in my application packet to the state and wait for the actual license before I can start practicing, but I’m still so relieved to have it done.

Obviously, we went out to lunch afterwards to celebrate.

Several of you have asked me “what’s next?”, and I’ve been kind of avoiding the question. Sorry about that. (But because I watched way too much Disney Channel in the 90s, in my head I always answer “I’m going to Disneyland!”)

Really, the answer is, I’m not sure. I’m back at work full time after I’d cut my hours back last fall when school started.

At my graduation, one of my teachers told me I would wake up a month from then and realize just how stressed out I’d been. I’m about a week early, but she was right. I’ve probably been talking about sleeping and how great it is a little too much recently, but after 7 months, I’d kind of forgotten! And it’s weird (but great) to have time in the evenings to do things like grocery shop and go to the bank, rather than try to cram all of my errands in on the weekends.

So at this point, my plan is to focus on de-stressing. I’m hoping to T.A. for a class at the massage school during the summer, and maybe do some trades with other therapists, but at the moment, I’m not allowed to practice, and it’s been nice to have a break. I’ll get back to it sooner or later.

But enough about me. What’s next for you?
